Terms of Service
Rules and conditions for using GuildWire.
Last updated: July 6, 2026
PLEASE READ THESE TERMS OF SERVICE CAREFULLY. THIS IS A LEGALLY BINDING AGREEMENT BETWEEN YOU AND THE GUILDWIRE TEAM. BY INSTALLING THE GUILDWIRE APPLICATION, CREATING AN ACCOUNT, ACCESSING, OR USING THE GUILDWIRE PLATFORM, YOU AGREE TO BE BOUND BY THESE TERMS OF SERVICE AND ALL TERMS INCORPORATED BY REFERENCE, INCLUDING OUR PRIVACY POLICY AT https://guildwire.app/privacy AND OUR REFUND POLICY AT https://guildwire.app/refunds. IF YOU DO NOT AGREE TO ALL OF THESE TERMS, DO NOT INSTALL, ACCESS, OR USE OUR SERVICES.
1. Acceptance and binding effect
These Terms of Service ("Terms" or "Agreement") govern your access to and use of the GuildWire software application, desktop and mobile clients, website at guildwire.app, server channels, and all associated services (collectively, the "Service" or "Platform") provided by the GuildWire development team ("GuildWire", "we", "us", or "our").
By installing the GuildWire application, creating an account, logging in, or otherwise interacting with the Service, you represent that you have the legal capacity and authority to enter into this Agreement. If you are accepting these Terms on behalf of an entity, guild, or organization, you represent that you have the authority to bind that entity to this Agreement.
2. Eligibility and representations
To access or use the Service, you must:
- Be at least 13 years of age. If you are under the legal age of majority in your jurisdiction, you represent that your parent or legal guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf.
- Not be barred from receiving services under the laws of your country of residence or other applicable jurisdictions.
- Use each account in accordance with these Terms. The desktop client may allow you to store multiple account sessions on the same device for your convenience; you remain responsible for all activity conducted through any account you access.
3. Account registration, security, and data infrastructure
Account creation: To access features of the Platform, you must register for an account using a valid email address via our third-party authentication integration (Supabase Authentication), or through supported OAuth providers such as Google Sign-In. You agree to provide true, accurate, and complete information and promptly update it as necessary.
Account security: You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials (including passwords) and for all actions, uploads, or communications conducted through your account. You agree to notify us immediately at support@guildwire.app of any unauthorized breach of security or access to your credentials.
Database and infrastructure: You acknowledge that your account metadata, message history, guild profiles, and alliance records are stored on cloud databases managed via Supabase. Data collection, retention, and deletion are governed by our Privacy Policy at https://guildwire.app/privacy.
4. User-generated content (UGC) and license grants
Definition of UGC: "User-Generated Content" includes any messages, chat logs, forum posts, guild profiles, alliance tag designs, images, files, event data, voice-related content, and Klipy media (GIFs, stickers, clips, memes, and emojis) uploaded, streamed, or transmitted through the Service.
Ownership: You retain all ownership rights in and to your UGC. GuildWire does not claim ownership over any content you publish or transmit.
License grant to GuildWire: By submitting, posting, or transmitting UGC on or through the Service, you grant GuildWire a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, fully sublicensable, transferable, and perpetual license to host, store, cache, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, translate, distribute, perform, and display such UGC solely for the purpose of operating, rendering, developing, and improving the Platform.
UGC representations: You represent and warrant that you possess all necessary rights and licenses to grant the foregoing license and that your UGC does not violate the intellectual property or privacy rights of any third party.
5. Code of conduct and acceptable use
You agree that you will not violate any applicable law, contract, intellectual property, or third-party right, and that you are solely responsible for your conduct while using the Service. You agree that you will not:
- Upload, post, or transmit any UGC that is unlawful, defamatory, obscene, harassing, threatening, abusive, hateful, or racially or ethnically offensive.
- Engage in any activities designed to disrupt, overload, or compromise the integrity of our hosting servers, LiveKit voice channels, database schemas, or API endpoints.
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to extract the source code of the application or underlying protocols, except where permitted by applicable law.
- Deploy or use any unauthorized automation tools, scrapers, crawlers, or bots to interact with the Platform or harvest data.
- Create or facilitate unauthorized clones or derivative services of the GuildWire ecosystem.
6. EULA compliance and content moderation
To ensure compliance with mobile and desktop application marketplace policies (including Apple App Store and Google Play Store Developer Guidelines):
- Zero-tolerance policy: GuildWire maintains a zero-tolerance policy towards objectionable content, hate speech, severe harassment, and abusive behavior.
- Abusive user and content removal: Any user may flag or report objectionable UGC or abusive members. Upon receiving a report, GuildWire administrators or automated safety features will review the flagged content and, if found in violation of these Terms, will remove the content and/or suspend the violating user's access within 24 hours.
- Guild and alliance owner responsibilities: Guild Leaders, Officers, and Admins are required to actively moderate their respective channels. Failure of a Guild Leader to act against reported abuse within their server may result in the suspension of the entire guild space.
7. Third-party services and integrations
The Service incorporates third-party APIs and streaming protocols. Your use of these features is subject to the terms and privacy policies of those third parties:
- YouTube API Services: GuildWire allows guild owners to embed YouTube video feeds and players within custom dashboards. By utilizing these YouTube integrations, you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service (https://www.youtube.com/t/terms) and acknowledge that your data usage is subject to the Google Privacy Policy (https://policies.google.com/privacy).
- Klipy media library: GuildWire provides a GIF, sticker, clip, meme, and emoji picker powered by the Klipy API. When you search or select media, your queries are routed through our servers to Klipy. Embedded media is delivered from Klipy's content network. By using Klipy features, you agree to the Klipy API Terms of Use (https://klipy.com/support/api-terms) and Klipy Privacy Policy (https://klipy.com/support/privacy-policy). Klipy content may include third-party advertisements as provided by Klipy.
- LiveKit media streaming: Real-time voice calls and audio channel transmissions utilize LiveKit protocols. You acknowledge that audio packets are routed through cloud servers to facilitate low-latency streams. Do not use voice features for emergency communications.
- Google Sign-In: If you authenticate using Google, you agree to Google's applicable terms and privacy policies.
- Firebase Cloud Messaging: Push notifications on supported platforms are delivered through Firebase Cloud Messaging. Device tokens and delivery metadata are processed according to our Privacy Policy and Google's policies where applicable.
8. Intellectual property and proprietary rights
Except for your UGC, the Service and all materials therein, including but not limited to software, source code, designs, graphics, user interfaces, branding, logos, trademarks, and documentation (collectively, "GuildWire Materials"), are the exclusive intellectual property of GuildWire and its licensors. You are granted a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and revocable license to access and use the Service strictly in accordance with these Terms.
9. Paid services, virtual currency, and subscriptions
GuildWire may offer optional paid features, including: (a) Gold — a virtual in-platform currency that can be purchased and donated to guilds to contribute to guild level progression; (b) Battle Pass and Battle Pass+ — monthly individual premium cosmetics and profile customization; and (c) other digital goods or subscriptions described at https://guildwire.app/pricing (collectively, "Paid Services").
Prices are displayed in US dollars unless otherwise stated at checkout. Applicable taxes, currency conversion, or payment fees may be calculated by our Payment Partner at the time of purchase. Paid Services are licensed for use within GuildWire only; they have no real-world monetary value, are not legal tender, and are non-transferable except as expressly permitted in the Service.
Gold packs: Gold purchased in packs is delivered immediately to your account balance. Except where mandatory consumer law requires otherwise, Gold pack purchases are final and non-refundable once Gold is credited to your account. Partial refunds are not offered for unused or partially donated Gold.
Gold donations: When you donate Gold to a guild, that Gold is applied to the guild's active boost total and cannot be returned to your personal balance. Guild level benefits depend on cumulative active Gold as described on our pricing page. We may adjust level thresholds, perks, or pricing with reasonable notice where required by law.
Battle Pass: Battle Pass ($1.99/month) and Battle Pass+ ($7.99/month) are monthly subscriptions. Access renews each billing period until cancelled. Cosmetic items are digital licenses for in-app use only. When a subscription period ends without renewal, Battle Pass entitlements (cosmetics, raised message limits, and related profile flair) are revoked immediately. The desktop app may send in-app expiry reminders before the end date. Except where mandatory law requires otherwise, subscription fees are non-refundable for the current billing period once benefits are activated.
Battle Pass+ Gold: Monthly Gold credited as part of Battle Pass+ is a subscription benefit, not a separately purchased Gold pack. It is not eligible for standalone refund under the Gold pack rules and is subject to the Refund Policy for subscriptions.
Payment processing: Purchases may be processed by GuildWire or by an authorized Payment Partner acting as merchant of record. Your contract for payment, tax, and invoicing may be with the Payment Partner where applicable. By completing a purchase, you also agree to the Payment Partner's applicable checkout terms presented at purchase, including any consent to immediate delivery of digital content where required.
Refunds: Refund eligibility is governed by our Refund Policy at https://guildwire.app/refunds, which is incorporated into these Terms. Except where mandatory consumer law provides otherwise, all sales of digital goods are final once delivered to your account or activated.
Chargebacks and abuse: Fraudulent chargebacks or misuse of refund processes may result in suspension of your account and revocation of purchased entitlements.
10. Copyright infringement and DMCA policy
If you believe that any material on the Service infringes upon your copyright, you may submit a notification of claimed infringement under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act ("DMCA") by providing our designated agent at support@guildwire.app with the following information in writing:

11. Disclaimer of warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS, WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMISSIBLE UNDER APPLICABLE LAW, GUILDWIRE DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
GUILDWIRE DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF VIRUSES OR OTHER HARMFUL COMPONENTS. YOU ASSUME ALL RISK FOR ANY DAMAGE TO YOUR COMPUTER SYSTEM OR LOSS OF DATA THAT RESULTS FROM THE USE OF THE PLATFORM.
12. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL GUILDWIRE, ITS DEVELOPERS, CORE CONTRIBUTORS, OR AFFILIATES BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES (INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, LOSS OF PROFITS, LOSS OF DATA, LOSS OF USE, OR LOSS OF GOODWILL) ARISING OUT OF OR IN ANY WAY CONNECTED WITH THE ACCESS TO, USE OF, OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
IN NO EVENT SHALL THE AGGREGATE LIABILITY OF GUILDWIRE EXCEED THE TOTAL AMOUNT PAID BY YOU TO GUILDWIRE FOR THE SERVICES IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR FIFTY UNITED STATES DOLLARS ($50.00), WHICHEVER IS GREATER.
13. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless GuildWire, its developers, contributors, and agents from and against any and all claims, damages, obligations, losses, liabilities, costs, or debt, and expenses (including but not limited to attorney's fees) arising from:
- Your use of and access to the Service.
- Your violation of any term of these Terms.
- Your violation of any third-party right, including without limitation any copyright, trademark, property, or privacy right.
- Any claim that your UGC caused damage to a third party.
14. Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them or their subject matter shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Turkey, without giving effect to any choice or conflict of law provision.
You agree that any legal action or proceeding arising out of or relating to these Terms shall be instituted exclusively in the competent courts located in Antalya, Turkey, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of such courts, unless mandatory consumer protection laws in your country require otherwise.
15. Termination and severability
Termination: We reserve the right to terminate your license to use the Service and block or prevent your future access to the Platform if you breach this Agreement.
Severability: If any provision of these Terms is deemed unlawful, void, or for any reason unenforceable, then that provision shall be deemed severable from these Terms and shall not affect the validity and enforceability of any remaining provisions.
16. Software installation
By proceeding with installation of the GuildWire desktop application, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by this Agreement. If you do not agree, you must cancel the installation and refrain from using the Service.
GuildWire grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use one copy of the desktop application on a device you own or control, solely for personal or guild-related use in accordance with these Terms. You may not redistribute, sublicense, or make the installer available to third parties except as expressly permitted by GuildWire.
17. Changes to these Terms
We may modify these Terms from time to time. We will post the current version at https://guildwire.app/terms and update the "Last updated" date. Material changes may be communicated through the Service or by email where appropriate. Continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms, except where applicable law requires explicit consent.
